About the Institution
In recent years the University has grown rapidly expanding and developing its portfolio of courses into more exciting new areas. BGU consider ourselves experts in education and have been teaching it for over 150 years, but its teachingprogrammes now sit alongside an exciting range of other subjects, including drama, psychology, sociology and sport.
Bishop Grosseteste was awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework, beating two-thirds of Russell Group universities, and BGU’s strength in teaching and learning is complemented by small class sizes and the personal approach which supports students.

Scholarships
Scholarship amount Up to 30% of the international tuition fee
Nationality International
A number of scholarships are available from the office of the Dean of Faculty to applicants who can demonstrate outstanding academic achievement in their prior studies. Scholarships are awarded in the form of a tuition fee waiver up to a maximum of 30% of the international tuition fee for the programme. Within their application applicants should identify why they feel their examination results make them suitable for an award.

A number of scholarships are available from the International Office for applicants who can demonstrate excellence and commitment to extra-curricular activities. Scholarships are awarded in the form of a tuition fee waiver up to a maximum of 30% of the international tuition fee for the programme.
(3) Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship
Nationality International
To celebrate our 160th birthday we are offering one student a full fee scholarship funded by the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, the Reverend Canon Professor Peter Neil. This scholarship provides one student with the opportunity to study a Master's' programme in either Education, Humanities or Social Sciences, with a 100% tuition fee waiver.
Applicants for this scholarship should be able to evidence how their chosen path of study will contribute to the development of society in their own country. Applicants for this scholarship will need to provide evidence of either exceptional academic achievement, commitment to extra-curricular activities or both.
This scholarship is open to applicants from all countries.
The successful applicant will need to provide evidence they have the financial resources to support their living expenses during their period of study.
Applicants need to be available to start their academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2023
