  About the Institution
Gonzaga University is a private Jesuit university situated in Spokane, Washington. Founded in 1887, the University gets its name from the young Jesuit saint Aloysius Gonzaga.

A wide range of courses is available at all levels of study. Around 200 international students from over 40 countries enroll in courses each year, with the University representing various nationalities.

Gonzaga University contains two main libraries, the Law Library, and the Foley Center Library. Both libraries offer resources, books, journals, and study spaces to empower students with local knowledge and vital assets. There are several specialist colleges: a school of education, a college of arts and sciences, a school of business administration, a school of law, a school of engineering & applied science, a school of nursing & human physiology, and the school of leadership studies.

Numerous academic buildings also contain laboratories, offices, classrooms, and other modern amenities to empower students. If students want to utilize athletic facilities, the Kermit M. Rudolf Fitness Center includes state-of-the-art cardio and weight training equipment, an indoor track, group fitness classes, a pool, a smoothie bar, and more. The McCarthey Athletic Center is a 148,000 sq. ft. space, a 6,000-seat indoor arena where students can watch the University’s basketball team play. The Patterson Baseball Complex and Washington Trust Field are home to the University's baseball team.

The health and wellness center provides counseling and medical assistance to students. Various student centers help to organize student events, provide pastoral support, and more.

  Location
The university's surrounding area is known as Father's day's birthplace. Spokane is a city in eastern Washington state famed for its scenic outdoors and the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, where students can learn more about the state’s Native American heritage and overall impact on culture. Various restaurants and bars line the city streets to keep students occupied in their search for exciting nightlife as many other students are nearby. The cost of living is lower than the state average, and it is often cited as one of America's most neighbor-friendly cities.

  Student Life
There are 152 areas for students to congregate and socialize or study together. As an environmentally-focused campus, no bottled water is sold to encourage students to ‘go green’. The campus is vibrant, and there are opportunities to volunteer from the Center for Community Engagement that vary from outreach programs to external volunteer projects. Numerous events occur on campus throughout the year in the many event spaces, plus 150 student clubs represent various interests and chances to meet like-minded students.

A huge range of campus housing is available at the University as the institution helps to provide for its students in any way possible. All first-year students are guaranteed a place on campus if they submit their application before the deadline. Women’s rooms, men’s rooms, co-ed rooms, and apartments for single students and married couples are all available options at the University.

The area is populated with rental apartments nearby that some students seek out to enjoy a more independent lifestyle. The University provides resources to help students find suitable off-campus accommodation.
