  Student Life
Troy is a small student town located in the world-famous state of Alabama. A historic downtown area that paints a picturesque image perfect for studying combines with a multitude of museums so international students can get acquainted with everyday American life. Troy, Alabama is known for its scenery on account of its Southern American location, with Pike Country Lake and the Heart of Dixie Trail Ride providing leisurely downtime activities for students at Troy University. Hearty Southern fried chicken can be found at the local Trojan Bar & Grill, with the Sips Beer Garden & Food Court and ‘Sips on the Square’ pizzeria restaurant both offering great opportunities for socialising amongst locals.

Troy University is known as Alabama’s International University and as such, student life at Troy University is celebrative of its rich multicultural student body. Troy University is home to more than 150 student organisations in academic, cultural, sports and other fields. From Greek life to special interest societies such as The Swing Dance Club or the Board Game Alliance, there is lots of activity occurring on campus. 200+ Annual Fine Arts Performances occur on campus throughout the year. The Dining Service on the Troy University campus provides fresh food and a range of dietary options in its Trojan Dining Hall with five wildly different food stations. The 300-seat Adams Center Performing Arts Theatre is situated on the second floor of the Trojan Center and often shows drama performances.
