  About the Institution
The University of Utah is situated in Salt Lake City in Utah. Founded in 1850, the institution has a long history of inspiring academic excellence and innovation in its graduates.

Around 2,396 international students study at the university, representing different nationalities across campus. The university is well-known for its engineering, health sciences, business and law programs as well as its friendly campus.

The library is designed to ensure students can easily access all the information they need on campus, in the form of books, journals and other resources. The J. Willard Marriott Library is the most extensive library in Utah. The two campus recreation centres are the George S. Eccles Student Life Center and the HPER East Building. Students can keep fit and healthy using the swimming pool, sports courts and other fitness equipment. The campus shuttle system is ingeniously designed to empower students to travel around the campus easily, and there are discounts for transportation. Mental health counseling and dental services are more ways in which students are provided with valuable facilities - students are even automatically enrolled on a dental plan.

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts and the Natural History Museum of Utah are two notable buildings providing cultural points for university students.

  Location
Salt lake city is a top tourist destination offering students a hub of diverse activity. From the Big Cottonwood Canyon to the Red Butte Garden, students can tick many must-see attractions off their bucket lists. As plenty of students populate the area, the nightlife is buzzing with activity as bars and clubs are in good supply. There are almost as many coffee shops and public parks because of the scenic views and suburban feel in certain parts of this urban area. Known for being one of the best places to live in Utah, it is primarily populated by young professionals.

  Student Life
Campus life is fun and varied at the university. The social scene and diversity on campus are valued highly by students enroled at the institution, as over 550 recognized, student-run clubs are available. From baking to k-pop and beyond, students will find a tribe with similar interests. The university grounds prohibit the consumption or sale of alcohol as it is a dry campus. All kinds of events are hosted on campus throughout the year so students can get acquainted with diverse experiences, and there are resources for making their voices heard. Sports-loving students can play football, basketball, and gymnastics, and make use of the two recreation centers and several outdoor recreational spaces alongside their studies. The society-conscious university prioritizes sustainability initiatives and community service, with energy conservation and volunteer work among these programs.

The university offers a range of on-campus housing, and staff are on-hand to guide students to the suitable off-campus accommodation if that suits their preference. The residence halls on campus are near academic buildings and other facilities centers - each one containing a range of traditional one or two-bed dorm rooms, suites and apartments. Some of the on-campus housing options are self-catered to encourage greater independence from students.

The University offers Student Apartments in a separate housing community located in close proximity to the campus that is fully furnished and contains fitness and laundry facilities for students at all levels. Some international students prefer to live off-campus to get acclimatized to the local culture, with a database of nearby rental properties easily accessible to students.
