  About the Institution
Genesee Community College is a public community college with its main campus in Batavia, New York. Over 60 high-quality, affordable associate degree programs in areas such as Business Administration, Communication & Media Arts and more are available from the college. The Student Success Center was built to answer student questions and provide support through advice, tuition and ongoing support. The Student Union contains a fireplace, dining area, pool table, ping pong tables and even a Starbucks to ensure students can unwind and reap the benefits of studying together. The athletics facilities are comprehensive to ensure students can pursue sports as a hobby or benefit from the brain-boosting benefits of exercise. The Alfred C. O’Connell Library contains over 85,000 volumes of print titles, full-text databases, eBooks, audiobooks and more, so students have plentiful study resources.

The main campus is in Batavia, New York, near Niagra Falls and halfway between Buffalo and Rochester. Batavia is known as the birthplace of Western New York and boasts a low living cost alongside a diverse, dense student population. It’s a safe area with a suburban feel and a range of cultures represented.

Student clubs are a big part of campus life at the college as they encourage students to make new friends and explore interests alongside their studies. From the Business Creators Club to the Photography Club, students have the opportunity to develop transferable skills. The Center for the Arts has exhibitions, art galleries and other shows for students to enjoy some culture in their leisure time. The campus welcomes international students of all backgrounds to celebrate their culture and faith together.
