  About the Institution
Queens College is a public college in the Queens Borough of New York City. Founded in 1937, it is part of the City University of New York system and its 80-acre campus is primarily located in Flushing, Queens.

The institution offers over 70 majors, over 40 accelerated master's options, and graduate studies in over 100 degree programs and certificates. Around 875 international students enrolled from over 170 countries yearly.

Queens College has two libraries, the Rosenthal Library and the Science Library. Both house a vast collection of books, journals, and digital resources. Students can also use the Queens College Art Center for cultural enjoyment. Exhibition spaces, a gallery, and art studios are available for students. The Queens College Athletics Department offers students a swimming pool, fitness center, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor tracks, and soccer and baseball fields. The Kupferberg Center for the Arts houses a concert hall, theatre, and recital hall, where students can enjoy performances, shows, and concerts.
  Location
Queens is one of the safest boroughs in NYC. Due to its New York location, students can see many historical sights and tourist attractions while studying here. Major NYC area airports, JFK International and LaGuardia, are located here. The nearby Flushing Meadows Park is home to the US Open tennis tournament and the New York Mets baseball team.
  Student Life
The campus is scenic, with a view of the Empire State Building. Over 100 student clubs on campus are available to join, reflecting the variety of personalities enrolled at the college. Cultural clubs such as Asian Students In Action or passion-focused clubs such as the Queens College New Music Group are evidence of the variety of student clubs. Both club and intramural sports are a big part of campus life at this college, both as a spectator and participant.

On-campus accommodation is available via The Summit Apartments, just a few steps from the college. The Summit Apartments offer studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments for fully furnished students. Utilities, internet access, and cable television are all included in the price, plus a fitness center and laundry facilities on-site. The Off-Campus Living and Commuting Services office provides resources for students to find apartments and roommates off-campus.
