  About the Institution
The City University of Seattle was founded in 1973 as City College. Today, it is a private University with a mission to provide high-quality education to a cross-section of society. Approximately 500 international students enroll on courses at the University each year, with the University offering a plethora of high-quality online programmes in areas such as Business Management, Applied Psychology and Computer and Information Sciences. The US News & World Report ranks the University as the Best Online Program in 2022.

A Career Services Center at the university actively helps prepare students for a graduate career. As an online-focused university, CityU offers learning platforms such as discussion boards, course materials, communication tools, and a wealth of digital library resources. CityU also provides tutoring services, writing centers, and other academic support resources to help students excel in their coursework.

  Location
Seattle has a rich musical heritage and many museums to mark its rich political history. The birthplace of the grunge music genre, live music can be found frequently on weeknights, and so can several coffee shops as worldwide chain Starbucks started life in the city. The Space Needle is a must-visit tourist attraction, while Pike Place Market can fill up a few hours on a leisurely Saturday.

  Student Life
City University of Seattle is an online-focused University, so campus life differs from other traditional universities. There is a large mix of different faiths to provide a multicultural campus experience. It is rated as a safe campus, and the quality of education is rated very highly by students. Meal plans are available, and the atmosphere surrounding the University experience is very academic.

The City University of Seattle offers student housing named Cornish Commons. A 20-story residence hall, the commons are shared by City University of Seattle and Cornish College of the Arts. Situated in the downtown Seattle neighbourhood of South Lake Union, the residence hall is between the University and the city's heart. The accommodation offers a shared community kitchen, laundry facilities, an indoor-outdoor lounge on the 20th floor with a scenic view, a TV lounge, a pool table, an art studio, pool table, fitness centre and more amenities. The dining center is called Nellie’s Cafe, offering meals at all times of the day. Students can also stay with friends in private apartments in the nearby area or in homestay arrangements where an American family hosts them.
