Students have reported finding it easy to get to their classes, and most first-year students live on campus, so the area has a buzz all year round.

Irvine Valley College does not offer on-campus housing. International students often enroll in a Homestay program, where they are paired with a trusted local family to enjoy evening meals together, experience everyday life in the area and, if necessary, enhance their grasp of English. Several off-campus apartments are situated near Irvine Valley College for students to rent that often come fully furnished with free use of amenities. Some students choose to house-share with friends or new acquaintances via roommate-finding avenues.
