The University of Fraser Valley is a public university in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Currently, the university offers over 100 programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Today, the institution is well-known for its courses in Computer Science, Arts, Liberal Arts, Business, Accounting, and Management.

After opening in 1974, Fraser Valley gained university status in 1988. Since then, it has grown to become one of the most reputable universities in Canada. The establishment is ranked among the top ten universities in Canada and 52nd in the country.

On campus, students will find all the academic and leisure resources needed to succeed at the University of Fraser Valley. First, a range of academic resources are available on campus. Abbotsford is a small city in British Columbia, situated about an hour's drive from Vancouver. As a result, Fraser Valley is surrounded by some of Canada’s most beautiful natural settings. Mountains, lakes and forests are nearby, and students can take up outdoor activities here, like hiking, cycling and kayaking. In Abbotsford, an ethnically diverse community is welcoming towards students. Here, students can also find quirky local restaurants, craft breweries and locally run stores.

  Student Life
Fraser Valley has an accepting, open-minded and diverse campus. More than 15,000 students from nearly 90 different countries attend the university. Due to this, International students are welcomed and encouraged to join the vibrant student community. Year-round, the student union organises cultural and social events. Students can also join one of the 65 clubs and associations. These include sports teams, dance and fitness classes or political and academic clubs. Opportunities for volunteering and work experience are also available.

Fraser Valley’s Abbotsford campus has a selection of housing options available. Students stay in double occupancy suites with shared bathrooms and kitchen facilities. Separate areas for study and clothing are provided, and WIFI is also available. Living on campus opens up more socialising opportunities for students on campus and students are encouraged to live independently.
