  About the Institution
Birmingham Business School is part of the University of Birmingham and has been teaching business since 1902 via the Faculty of Commerce, making it the oldest business school in the UK. It holds triple accreditation from the AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS, and is consistently ranked in the top 100 business schools in the world.

Birmingham Business School also offers master's in management, marketing, finance, as well as advanced engineering management and a wide range of specialisations to choose among them.

  Student Life
The International Students Advisory Service provides trained and dedicated advisers for international students who have queries relating to immigration, working in the UK, healthcare, finance, personal and academic support. All services are free of charge.

International students are guaranteed a place in University of Birmingham accommodation for at least their first year of study. It may be possible for students to stay in University of Birmingham accommodation for the whole of their time in the UK if they wish.

  Scholarships
(1) African Scholarships
Scholarship amount 40% of your tuition fee
Nationality International
If you are permanently domiciled in Africa, Birmingham Business School is offering scholarships of up to 40% of your tuition fee. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application.

Terms and Conditions
Scholarships are awarded as a fee discount on the overall total fee for the programme. The value of the scholarships will be determined by the Business School Scholarship Committee.

We aim to contact successful candidates as soon as possible after they have applied. If you have not been contacted by the decisions returned date that corresponds with the date by which you submitted your application (listed above)then your scholarship application has been unsuccessful. Applicants who have been successfully awarded a scholarship will be contacted by email.

The Student shall not be eligible for any further discount to the tuition fees through any other University scheme (excluding the Birmingham Postgraduate Progression Award provided that the total value of the combined awards does not exceed the Student’s total tuition fees for the Programme).

The Student shall not be eligible for any part of the Scholarship if they are entitled to a scholarship, sponsorship or other similar financial assistance (other than the Scholarship) (“External Funding”) covering the full tuition fees.

In the event that the Student is entitled to External Funding that does not cover the entire tuition fees for the Programme, the University may, at its discretion, award a Scholarship to cover the balance of the tuition fees for the Programme provided that the total value of the combined awards does not exceed the Student’s total tuition fees.

In the event the Programme is withdrawn and the Student agrees to accept a different programme within the Scheme offered by the School, the Student shall benefit from a scholarship for that alternative programme up to the value of the Scholarship offered for the Programme. For the avoidance of doubt, if the Programme is withdrawn and the Student does not accept the alternative programme offered within the Scheme, the Scholarship shall be withdrawn.


(2) Alumni Scholarships
Scholarship amount £10,000
Nationality International
We have a number of scholarships reserved for University of Birmingham alumni worth £10,000 each, or worth the full tuition fee if the tuition fee is less than £10,000. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application.

(3) Dean's Responsible Business Scholarships
Scholarship amount Up to 50% tuition fee
Nationality International
These prestigious and limited scholarships, awards of which range from 50% up to your full MSc tuition fee value, will be awarded to candidates who exhibit the highest standards of academic excellence, and who are passionate about Responsible Business. At Birmingham Business School, our vision is to promote curiosity and thought leadership for Responsible Business. As part of your scholarship application, you will be required to complete a written exercise on Responsible Business which will be reviewed alongside your course application.

To celebrate the launch of our new MSc Business Analytics programme, Birmingham Business School is offering scholarships of up to 40% of your tuition fee to those who have received an offer for this programme. Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence as assessed from your course application.
