The University of Lincoln is home to a thriving community of students from across Nigeria and we are delighted that you are considering studying there.

Undergraduate Programmes
A full-time Bachelor’s degree programme in the UK typically takes three years to complete. Students from Nigeria require one of the following qualifications for entry into year one of a Bachelor’s degree:
+ Successful completion of a recognised International Foundation programme
+ Successful completion of the International Baccalaureate (IB) with between 27 and 34 points
+ Successful completion of three A Levels

Degree Preparation Programmes
The University of Lincoln’s International College provides a range of degree preparation programmes to help students to qualify for entry onto an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree. If you are unable to meet the entrance requirements for a Bachelor’s degree, you may be eligible to join our International Year One programme.

Postgraduate Programmes
A full-time postgraduate taught (Master’s degree) programme in the UK typically takes one year to complete. Applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, at a recognised institution. Applicants will also need to obtain a specific grade/classification (university transcript) in order to be accepted onto the programme.

The requirements may range from a first class honour’s degree to a lower second-class honours. The list below outlines what we deem to be an equivalent grade/classification in Nigeria.
+ First Class (1st) - 4.5 GPA
+ Upper Second Class Hons (2:1) - 3.5 GPA
+ Lower Second Class Hons (2:2) - 2.5 GPA

Degree Preparation Programmes
If you do not meet the entry criteria for a postgraduate degree programme, you may be eligible to join a Pre-Master’s programme with the University of Lincoln’s International College. Students from Nigeria require a recognised first degree, or HND for entry onto our Pre-Master’s Business programme.

English Language Requirements
In addition to meeting the academic requirements outlined above, applicants will also be expected to meet the University's English Language requirements.

+ NECO Senior School Certificate English Language at grades A1-C6

+ WAEC West African Senior School Certificate English Language at grades 1-6.

If you score below C6 in English in the above exams, you will need to take IELTS Test. There are various institutions in Nigeria that offer this test for a fee.

Fees
The university offers scholarships and other incentives to enable students reduce initial cost of schooling, accommodation etc. Depending on choice of course and duration, tuition fees may range from £15,000 - £20,000.

Travel Documents
You MUST have a valid Nigerian Passport. If your existing one is expired, you will need to apply for the new e-passport
